Bruce Robinson is a seasoned executive with over two decades of leadership in public transit policy, infrastructure development, and federal grant management.

Bruce most recently served as Associate Administrator for Program Management at the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), where he oversaw the delivery of $21 billion annually in grant funding to over 4,000 public transit agencies and states. His leadership has been instrumental in the oversight and advancement of some of the nation’s most complex and high-value infrastructure projects, including the $16 billion Hudson Tunnel project and the Honolulu rail project.

Bruce has held multiple other senior roles within the FTA, including Acting Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Associate Administrator for Research, Demonstration, and Innovation. He has led transformative initiatives in project oversight, grant program modernization, and inter-agency coordination, and has been a trusted advisor to Congress and senior DOT leadership on transit policy and legislative development.

In addition to his technical and policy expertise, Bruce is widely recognized for his collaborative leadership style and ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders. He has worked across multiple presidential administrations, forging strong partnerships with state and local governments, transit agencies, and industry leaders to deliver transformative transportation solutions. His strategic vision and operational acumen have consistently positioned him as a trusted advisor within the U.S. Department of Transportation and beyond.

He holds a Master of Arts from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In recognition of his distinguished federal service, Bruce received the Presidential Rank Award in 2024.
